Looking at Sky

Perhaps re-framing the question, "what is wrong with me ?"  to  "why do i experience  a neuro-typical world for being slightly exhausting"?

Through decoding your unique mental operating system, together we can start to figure out how you can thrive in a society that basically runs on different software.

I can help you to begin to practice being truly kind and understanding towards  yourself.

Together, we can kick anxiety and depression to the curb whilst developing bespoke tools, to make functioning in a  neuro-typical system easier to manage.

Neurodivergent

Neurodivergent individuals have brain function, that is different to the predominant neurotype. Thinking patterns and behaviour can be a strength, but can create challenges within a society where the majority of people are neurotypical. Examples include autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia.

                                 20%

Neurotypical

Neurotypical are the predominant neurotype. these individuals have thinking patters and behaviors that are perceived as normal by the general population. As such the world is set up for and around them.
Neurotypical people  can display the same traits as neuro-divergent individuals, without the same extent, frequency or intensity and impact. Society is built to serve the neuro-typical individual.

Are you experiencing a confusing and difficult relationship? Domestic abuse shows up in many forms other than violence, such as coercive control, cruel words, belittling, and questioning of your sanity. If you find yourself in a painful place in your relationship and you are looking for answers. Ember and Oak Counselling can offer you the space and expertise to explore your difficult relationship experiences, without judgement or forced opinions.

Christian counselling

My own faith is personal and separate from my counselling practice. My faith is a unique expression of my journey with God and it is where I find my strength and comfort.

I am not a Christian counselor, I am a Christian who counsels.

However, if having help and understanding of your own faith and spirituality in a balanced non-judgmental environment is something that you would find helpful at this time, I am able to offer that in my service with understanding and a no-judgmental perspective.
